Kade
Driving a 2009 Dodge Caliber. I have 2 of these from my previous car. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2018_Single-10-Sealed-MDF-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Belva-MDFS10.html It says .77 cu.ft. of air space. I want to fill them with a pair of these. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_32837_Pioneer-TS-W259D4.html 1. Would this work based on the specs provided? 2. In the recommended box specs for any woofer, are they refering to the air space before or after displacement? 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. BoomZoom808
Looks like you will be a little shy on airspace but it should work. Displacement in your situation is the space the woofer takes up inside the box. The spec given is before displacement. When you put the sub in it will be slightly less. I would make your own box if possible and port it. I would also shop around for different subs. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON
Kade
I prefer sealed for my ears and my space. If these subs will suffice until I can afford something better, I'll be ok. recommendations? 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. Pioneerchuck
Those subs will work just fine in those enclosures. I assume you've got a small mono block or a 2 channel running them?

The displacement they give should be gross internal, you would need to subtract the driver displacement to get the net airspace, the size is in the tight side of the spec so I would add some polyfill. Nothing wrong with the pioneer they are good subs but I would do an infinity 1062w it asks for .75 sealed a little closer to ur box spec but cost a little bit more. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON
Kade
I have the pioneer D series components. I was trying to keep it all pioneer. The sub calls for .65-1.25cu.ft. box. My boxes are .77. a little on the tight side, but should still give me a bit of "boom" factor right? 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. BoomZoom808
Oh yea it will boom still. I run a sealed enclosure in one of my cars love the tight response Just need to run a lot more power to get the volume you would ported. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON
