ImortalZomby
I want to get more power out of my car but i dont know what to do. I have a Volvo 740 Turbo Intercooler Wagon. What i am recently doing is changing the stock intake to a K&N intake and changing the alternator cause i need a new one. Any suggestion on what i should do? Beanz
Get a bigger turbo? Change the boost that you running in your stock turbo That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. hdorre
A tune. How whats the safe maximum limit that you can boost your stock turbo to? In many cars, the first things you should do are intake, headers, and exhaust. On turbos and supercharged cars, add a tune to that list. I would look for a Volvo forum. Ben Fultz
The first things you want to do is get a good set of gauges, A/F( air/ fuel ratio ), Boost ect. There's no point in increasing turbo psi without knowing what's going on with your engine. The last thing you want is to being running lean and running more boost. The next would be to find out your IDC ( injector duty cycle), to see if your stock injectors can even support more psi or your right back to running lean. Ben Fultz
True, that's normally what I use/recommend, but in his case I figured a basic a/f would be more user friendly.
