Krakin's Home Dipole Project

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

What sub(s) do you use?

Read and learn the different types or 6th and 8th

http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxes6m.asp#_index

Let us no witch one you have

Start a new thread with some real info on the set up

And get yourself a good modelling software program

And play around with it

Build some

Model again

Play some more

And repeat until you get what you want

They are not a box you get right 1st time

If your lucky on the 3rd or 4th try you will have something your happy with

Or if your smart you'll built them like I do with both sides of the box oversize and removable ports or aero ports

Then I apply mass inside the box to reduce the net (normally scrap wood)

That way you only build 2 boxes 1 test box and 1 nice final box

And can do all your testing in one or 2 days
