I guess ill start with some box build up pics...

This box took 6 sheets of 49inch by 97inch MDF, there is very minimal scrap from building the box, most scrap was from the woofer cut out holes.

Box baffle is 3 layers thick, 1 of the layers is the flush mount for the woofers.

Everything else is 2 layers thick, with a 3rd layer strip down the middle of the inside and 45s for more internal bracing.

Im not one that is into wooden dowels and threaded rod for bracing, so I resort to other tricks that I personally think is cleaner looking.

Resin and sanded smooth inside and out.

Reason behind doing the outside is for a couple reasons, main reason is so that the box is not as prone to water damage from any flexing windows, doors or hatches if its being played when its raining and so it will give a great surface that wont soak up tons of primer and paint.

Also ordered a 200 foot by 40inch wide roll of Suntek Carbon 5% tint.

Put 5% tint all the way around, and over the factory rear tinted glass as well which makes it about 3% in the rear.

This is a quality tint, not some autoparts store type tint that says its "limo black" but only 20%. LOL

Suntek tint next to my Madico 20% and 35% rolls of tint.

for the rear windows I needed something to roll the tint out on so I made a makeshift table with a smaller table, a bird cage, gorilla tape, and 2 old aluminum bussbars

20130816_192820_zpsaeca584b.jpg

It started to get dark out but worked out okay for cutting the tint on the outside of the window, the light you see inside the truck is my LED work light. and FYI its a 25watt LED 2000 lumens... LOL

and here you can barley see the rear dome light
