john253a Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Budget is a big thing Even with cheaper subs and mid range amp your at 2-2.5k 8x sd2 10" on a sax3500 is 2400 V's 2x z ported on a 3500 for same price or on a ns1 of 2700 Personal idd love to see 8x sa10 on a ns1 for $2980 To save cost you'll want to drop the cone area down and go ported on 2-4k power Another option is make some nice spacers and drop in some 8" and through in some aero ports 3x 6" would work very well
bigclown94 Posted September 11, 2013 Author Report Posted September 11, 2013 So you guys are pretty much saying sundown is the way to go if I go with 8 sa10 and a ns1 what kind of alts and batteries do I need for that amp
WillPwn4Food Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 350a alt and at least 3 XS D3100s. john253a Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 That depends on what ohm load you decide to run Also look at dc, fi skar, dd ect If you have a bit more to spend on elec and amps Look I to the fiQ10 fully optioned (made for sealed) They'll take rated and more all day And drop anything up to 15k power daily on the
bigclown94 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Report Posted September 13, 2013 Thanks guys for the info... its gonna really help out getting back into car audio cant wait to build a new system. .
bassman619 Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Why not just get a couple good subs instead of so many..I think you could increase your bass output if you got a couple 15s or 18s.and build a good ported box..look at the smd subs by ascendant audio..and the rockford fosgate t2s are good and much more affordable at 400 a piece on ebay. Or I have seen the alpine type r 15" subs for 200 a piece in ebay and you could run two of those off of your 1500 watts! And like I said ported box . Increase your spl and maybe get some hairtrick goin You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
Karkov Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 You're gonna wanna build a new box to the subs you upgrade to IMO. You can maybe find some that would like that exact space and sealed etc. but might not be the specific subs you would want to go with then. Personally just make a new box, I could be wrong though, but it *should* sound better with a box built for the subs you put in. oh and.......PICS. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Slobalt7 Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 If you aren't too worried about cost you could also run some RD Audio 10's or PSI Platform 2's, which the PSI's are able to be customized. There are a lot of brands out there but personally I would swap to a easier box to play with like dual ported 15's or quad ported 15's. Then you have a ton more options. Yeah, it's slower than your bowel movements.
