Brandon Nelson
what would the ideal ported box be for a m2 xl 12?
CJ18
1.5-1.75ft3 net per sub depending on the power being given.
knubs
would an XL 12 perform better with a bigger or smaller box if being given over rated power? i'm assuming bigger would be better? also i always hear that 12-15 inches of cross sectional port area per square foot is ideal for a ported box, but what factors would determine whether you would want more or less port area? how would you know if you want 12 of 15? CJ18
Smaller box. All of our subs tend to like smaller enclosures.
