Ive seen jp kick out a 156... boy moving alot of air. Ive seen hair trick done with 4 sa8s in a civic hatchbak... nothing like jp but still awesome

Jp better be doing way over a 56 with that much cone and power......

Power isnt that big of an issue. I can trick on 3k, can moves shirts in both windows with both windows down. Not as well as like kylar can, but he is running more cone and more power.

edit:

I'm tuned to like 32 or something i don't know for sure and have a a fairly large amount of port area.

I think these hairtrick questions should be against the rules. So annoying and you can never really answer them besides stating the obvious.

I'm not trying really asking how can I do it.... I was just thinking about it and noticed that it seemed like people doing around the same on the meter tend to move air the same so I was curious if that was the case or not.

What do you expect people to tell you? The exact science behind hairtricks?

I'll tell you this, even if someone was able to pull something out of their ass, if you were to try it, theres no guarantee it will produce the best hairtrick results. Lol

Let's stick to the facts. Lower frequencies will move more air. More power will move more air. More cone area will move more air. Less cabin space will move more air.

X2 with what Real said.

Displacement is what I try to focus primarily on and will be affected by frequency, cabin, and bandpass. Not as in the enclosure but how a sub in a box in a cabin reacts.

This was last year and a little bit of testing we did for a small mini truck walled on two 15" BTLs on 750 watts rms. Stock alternator (like 60 amps, lol) and a D1200.

Not a lot but just to show a lot of cone area and power aren't required to move air. Sub forward port driver side. And not sealed, lol.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

^ that's kick ass for 750 watts.

750??! Yeah, fuck that. Fuck this website, fuck SMD, fuck Steve, fuck all of his butt buddy mods, and their couches.

Thanks. When we did run it we just couldn't get the electrical up to par to really get some real power in there as the owner was on a limited budget. Did run it on 1,500 watts, didn't clamp power, and it did do a 49.1 on music on the TL. Went to an event with an AC mic and we hoped for a 50 but only did a 48.8. It's ok, but really did give us the information we were looking for.

It's a lot of fun but it does take some time and energy. There's a science there...I just don't really know it yet, lol
