DylanBunch Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 is it the decibals that decide how violent a hairtrick is? Like will 10 18s doing a 155 and 4 18s doing a 155 have the same air movement? Or is it flat out, cone area moves the most air 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
CaPRiCEx383 Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Cone area is a nice shortcut to nice hairtricks, Also depends if it's a wall vs no wall setup. And if the 10 18s are doing a 155 at mid 20hz or so and the 4 at a higher Hz like 40+ the 10 18"s should be more violent. Krakin Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Tuning, port size, cone area, driver parameters, port position, port shape, what note is being played, and lots more. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

DylanBunch Posted September 15, 2013 Author Report Posted September 15, 2013 the 2 cars im thinking of are JP and that guy justin from ssa and they both do around high 150s on music, justin having a lot less cone area and power but gives a sick nasty hairtricks atleast as good as JP so im thinking, what could it be that lets that guy justin do hairtricks on atleast the same level of JP having a fraction of the power and cone area? But i guess install dependent is the best answer and really only answer 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
