Penguin4x4 Posted February 29, 2008 Report Share Posted February 29, 2008 recently Oklahoma started contacting ICE for any sort of contact with an illegalofficers pull someone over, if they are ticketed for something (usually no DL in this case) they are now arrested, insteads of just getting a court date after they arrest them, ICE ion contacted they perform an on phone intervies to fdetermine the subjests residency status, if they are found to be illegal, they are deported, no questions, no excuses, nada gone I can feel for the folks on the bad end of this type of thing, but its a risk that is known when getting into a relationship with someone, best thing to do is to find legal council and try and get around it, even though it isnt likely anymore Fucking retarded ass government. Ice does not go just anywhere they go where ever there is a good amount of people with warrant to be deported. i'll get back to you tim. Dale Posted April 23, 2008 Report Share Posted April 23, 2008 it dont work like that here in cali, I guy I use to work with got deported and was married to a legal woman, I dont know the whole story but the guy wasnt all that law abiding(sp). Maybe thats why they deported him. If you break the law, they can deport you on a dime. But if you are married to a US citizen, you are entitled to reside, work and eventually naturalize in the US. They are pretty much considered federal agents here and can do raids anytimg any place they wish. To answer your question about how to make him legal. He has two ways to do this 1) He needs to go home and work with both his government and ours in order to get a green card to be over here legally (this is the more lengthy of the two) OR 2) He needs to go home and then your sister needs to sponsor him into the states. This will give him the capability to get a green card, in which he can then start going through the US Immigration process of turning his Green Card over for permanent Residency. I have some friends here at work that have Korean wives and they had to go through this. It isn't hard to get the sponsorship and bring her husband over here pretty quickly. Its not like their drug dealers that they have to be taken down so fiercely. They are not US citizens. They do not pay taxes. = no rights in my opinion. English is becoming a second language in states, I know I don't like going to Florida and cali and not being able to understand people because they don't speak our countries language. They don't serve in the armed forces. They are taking the jobs of actual citizens... what is the unemployment rate now? I say it is a pretty serious problem. However more power to them if they become a citizen and do the same duties as a normal citizen.
