FINALLY! A WON BATTLE FOR US BASSHEADS

Recommended Posts

Where exactly do you advocate we listen to our stereos then? Only at shows? Your rant makes me confused as to why you even joined a car audio website in the first place. Car shows could be looked at as a form of protest/rally. Where like minded people exchange experiences and ideas. You can also look at it as a freedom of expression. What we are expressing is that car audio is awesome. We do that by playing music. I agree that you shouldn't blast your shit at 10 at night in a residential area...but if it is on a highway or a commercial district I couldn't give less of a fuck. I'm not the type of whiny bitch that is going to complain about hearing music for a few brief moments at a stop light. Americans have become pussified in the last few decades. If someone doesn't like something they want it banned. Doesn't that make them the bad guy? They aren't even interested in compromise or a middle ground. As far as the examples you gave; let me ask a question. Depending on where you live you have maybe 1 or 2 people that have loud stereos. Is your life going to end if you hear a loud car drive past your house while you are having dinner? It's not like they are demoing in your front yard. When I was a kid mom played zepplin and hendrix all the time. So I can't imagine a stereo making it any worse. This zero tolerance, approach the world with delicacy shit is driving me nuts. People take offense at everything now. It's such bullshit. Why don't we ban new civil works projects. Earth movers and jackhammers make too much noise. Let's ban outdoor concerts because some whiny bitch 3 miles away can hear it on their farm. People are waaaay too sensitive.

as a audio lover i can admit to my favorite song coming on and bumping it loud! or as a car lover i can say when i see a open empty road ahead my foot gets a little heavier on the pedal. It doesn't matter what car you drive or what music you listen to if it sounds and feels good to you that's what counts! i tell this to people every day and yet they still by dre beats headphones and bose audio systems because there friends told them to :(

How does music NOT fall under the freedom of speech right?

the purpose of the first amendment is to allow you to express your beliefs or opinions without the government stopping you from doing it. it has nothing to do with you playing a radio really loud in traffic.

Tell me more about how you were at the bill of rights drafting table with madison in 1789, and heard him discussing how the 1st amendment would not apply to TeamHt and his music...

I'm intrigued to hear how that conversation went. Did madison run Ye Olde Kickers? Or was he a JL fanboy?

How's this:

-Music is often regarded as a form of art including self expression.

-Having said the above, music would therefore be included under the rights you mentioned.

-So using the idea of music as a form of art and self-expression/opinion, you could absolutely include it under the 1st amendment.

(P.S: Yes, I realize I'm reviving an "old" thread. Doesn't mean it's any less arguable now then it was before.)

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

:ughdunno: There are too many ways to try and interpret laws and ultimately the constitution and the bill of rights. There is a fine line between imposing upon other people with loud music and enjoying your own rights. I don't understand why most of these no noise laws seem to be lack any context? Why not seek a compromise, have a curfew for loud systems from 9-10PM - 7-8AM and maybe designated silence zones around churches on Sunday, graveyards, schools, and other locations that could affect large groups of people simultaneously?

This thread lol

Ppl that play their systems in traffic or threw a neighbor hood, it is a little rude, doesn't matter what time of the day or night.

And personally 25ft is not that far, you can hear ppl talk up to 25ft away, a little yelling? Ya. But that's prob way they said about freedom of speech. Just my guess:)
