I got a ticket for listening to my music in an empty parking lot 75 yards from the highway. who was I bothering again?

i can hear masterwill truck from the property i hunt deer on, which is probably 2 miles away from his house. a couple of times ive texted him from the tree and told him to turn that shit down. so if your loud enough, you can bother quite a few people.

A stock stereo system can be audible from 25' away and the fact someone hears something they don't like is NOT a reason to make it illegal point blank. That right there is the real issue. While the opinion of "Free Speech" is debatable, it at least puts it on level footing with Politicians "vote for me" PA systems, motorcycle exhaust, and loud sanctioned events like football games and parades... all of which you can hear from 25 feet away.

As long as someone isnt being disrespectful and blaring it in a neighborhood at midnight or in front of a church / business.

If you are riding down the street and not at a stop light there should not be a ticket. and if anyone asks you to turn it down or find another area politely there should be no consequences.

find someone who has hearing aids and ask them what they think about it. i can tell you from being around a couple of my relatives, people with hearing aids get absolutely EAR RAPED by even not-so-loud systems riding by.
