SnowDrifter
Considering switching to one in the interest of not having to keep purchasing new cartridges. Possibly cheaper in the long run Anyone here use one? How does it compare? How easy/hard is it to cut yourself? What sort of upkeep do they need? I've done some basic poking around on it. Seems I'd need the razor itself, leather belt/"strop", and a really fine sharpening stone. Trying to weigh the initial investment vs long term savings. And.... There is something "different" about using one. So there's that too Anyways, just looking for input from those who have used ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

walwalka
Here are a couple websites I use, I would suggest going with the safety razor and not a straight razor. You'll cut your face off with one...... http://www.chicagoshaving.com/ http://www.classicshaving.com/ http://www.westcoastshaving.com/ However, they all sell straight razors as well. I would also recommend getting a mug and a couple soaps and a nice badger brush. This would be a good starter kit, only you need is some blades. Start with a very basic gillette platnium, they are sharp but not super sharp. These razors take some getting used too. Not the shave, but how you hold it and such. http://www.classicshaving.com/sets-kits/safety-razor-sets/black-stoneware-complete-shave-kit.html#.UkQUwYZvOXs 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin
soundbwoy
I use a cut throat razor, but it has disposable blades, to be honest, it's a great razor, I find it takes longer to grow back compared to a safety razor. To start off I was getting little cuts here an there, but once i got the hang of it, I barely get any cuts at all, only if I'm rushing! Lol I got my razor from eBay, by a company called sanguine scissors
