pioneerforlife Posted October 5, 2013 Report Share Posted October 5, 2013 So I was driving down the road with the music cranked and all of a sudden I heard a pop and all sound shut off. Nothing coming from my amps or the head unit outputs. But the head unit was still on. So I pulled over and nothing was in protect, I popped the faceplate off and put it back on and everything worked fine. Any ideas on why it did this. Its a pioneer deh-150mp. A sound from the HU itself or other equipment? Wicks Posted October 6, 2013 Report Share Posted October 6, 2013 Maybe check the HU manual troubleshooting guide and see of there's anything that explains why the output would cut out....? Check for loose or corroded connections. Wiggle your RCAs and see if the HU cuts out again. Wondering if you have an intermittent short along the RCAs that might trip the HU.
