Pointing the subs at the trunk lid has many cons, one of which is excessive rattling. Going to cause you to lose a lot of the pressure that you'd otherwise have. How much airspace a piece do those 15s call for in a ported application? I know this setup will work well in this trunk. Because I have ran setups like this in it. Looking at around 7ft^3 now, still not as big as I would like but will work. UnderratedDB Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 so I just got 2 soundqubed SDC 2.5 15s. and need to make them work in my trunk of my car. think the only way I can make a box work for them is subs up, and was not to sure on if it will work out. working with 14' H 32" w 35'' D . looks like I can get around 5ft^3 with that. what u all think about subs up and port to front? u can do aero ports through your rear deck

Remember, SoundQubed subs use the same motors and have the same excursion capability for a given series. The system output and bass extension will have the same potential regardless of sub size. The key to a loud system is to make the most out of the available space. Larger diameter subs squeezed into a small box volume will not be as loud or deep as a smaller diameter sub in the ideal volume.
