Aaron813
I would see if you can get an external regulator because you can turn it up and down

mrwigglezdj
I would see if you can get an external regulator because you can turn it up and down well i can turn the alt, up and down, on the alt its self, it just wont go any lower than 15.8 and 18.9 max what is your voltage with the vehicle off, it should be 12.8 volts that is what i had untill i started it with the factory alt, after i started it it went all the way to 15.5 - 15.8 and i shut it off because its a factory 50 amp alt thats externaly regulated so i know there is a problem but on the side note of the alt, i may have a guy wanting to trade me a atomic 3000.1 for the alt but im not sure Quote Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
meade916
You could always get the powermaster step down module.....run the car on 12v like normal but hook your system up to 16v sounds like your amps dont like 16v though, you may have to mod it somehow... zaxfire69
I would love to have that kind of Voltage going to my sub amp, but all others would have to stay around the 12-14volt range. 16v would make my VFL 150.1 real happy. That is crazy how now your stocker is running higher voltage.
mrwigglezdj
well i got the factort alt replaced today, life time warr at autozone ftw as well as the regulator and now my voltage is rite on the money 14.4-14.8 and my buddie bought the big dog from me this am and hes going to try and put it on a fuckin tractor lol, i told him when he cant get it to fit ill buy it back for half price... so ill prolly be buying it back in a day or 2 for around 100-125 lol.... and my excessive amperage 250 amper is on its way home now, just sent nate my money for the rebuild, so maybe ill have 420 amps of power in the old van, and if i do get the big dog back i will just do a step down regulator so i can use it because that thing just looked nice under the hood and when it starts to charge is sounds like a turbo winding up Quote Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
