Craig Posted November 19, 2006 Report Share Posted November 19, 2006 this one is for all the explorer owners out there, how much of a pain in da ass was your rear view mirror to take off?? my local tint shop and glass repair shop say that to get the mirror off you have to have a special tool that you have to wedge under the mirror and hit wit a hammer, and might break the windshield. we'll see how long it takes to come off when i get my new system in, maybe then when it breaks off i can finally get my damn windshield tint strip! let me hear ur explorer stories.... I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. My expedition's rear view mirror is impossible to take off...I tinted my front winshield but they had to cut around the mirror because it was impossible to take off...
