Aj11 Posted August 27, 2014 Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 Usually never read those DB claims personally but my friend is looking for an amp on FB and his buddy commented saying his 2 12" soundstream spiders on an $800 RF amp is hitting 348db...I said that's crazy since the loudest SPL vehicle record is about 180db, then he said its dbc so cut in half he is doing 174db LMFAO...I proceeded to post a YT video of twisted and said "so you are louder than this guy?" OK ha! how long did it take him to do that math? The woofer is fucked beyond compare, both coils read below .8 and have some nasty rubbing, surround has holes in it, and the spider is ripped. Not to mention, the tiny ass sealed enclosure is full of holes and it only had two screws holding the woofer in. Fuck me. Owner said "We had it in a different car and it didn't sound good." No shit, the gain is on max and you've got a blown subwoofer in a cardboard shit house. No matter how much I try to explain basic stuff to these high school kids, they just don't get it.
