Alt to secondary batt bank ?

Ok so I get voltage drop on my secondary battery bank, but virtually none at all in my front battery. All my equip is in sig. So I was wondering, would it help any more to just attach the power wire in front that's going to my front bat to rear batts, straight to the alternator instead ?

Current setup in my 96 Hoe

Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs.

Amps - (4) Crossfire C5 1700D's, MTX Thunder 5604(mids), PPI Art 300.2 (tweets)

Batts - 4 91ah rear batts, 50ah batt up front.

Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's

Alt - Singer 330A

Front stage - Random JL & Eclipse mids, Eclipse tweets

Well, the alt is gonna charge the front battery first because it is closer and takes the path of least resistance but it will still charge the back so fast you will never notice if you were to hook the rear batt stright to the alt as well.

Not sure if you are using CCA or OFC, or how long yours run(s) are, or how many runs of power wire. What if you just added an additional run of power wire from front batt to rear batt? Also, are all connections tight? All grounds are good grounds?

How much is the voltage drop you are talking about?? There *may* be some from front to back but there really shouldn't be IMO, I mean checking the front batt voltage and the rear batt voltage at the same time and seeing a difference.

What voltage does your vehicle idle at? how about under full tilt @front batt? @rear batt?

I'm using CCA, and the 1 run is probably like 14-16 ft ? And how would it benefit another run from front to rear batts? All connections are soldered and completely solid, and all the grounds are tight and shiny metal. And i'm dropping about 11.8-12v on the rear battery bank and like 13.8 in front at full tilt. my voltage idles at like 14.1 up front, and 13.8 rear.

Check the rear batts to make sure they are OK.

Run another power wire from front to back batts.

Run a second ground from back batts to ground.

Run ground wire from alternator chassis to ground.

id do 1 more run just for the hell of it. did you check the rear batteries? if there going to shit?

yeah they were sitting at 12.9 when i put them in.

Yep, or you can ground to the terminal of the other batt. It wont really matter.
