Just installed a New Deck and two new speakers in a tiny Saturn car. Had some problems with the right side door which sucked up about 30 minutes of my time. After I figured the problem out it was really easy to continue on. (The problem was the rods inside the door which connect to the door handle and locking system on the car)

Im 17 (18 in April) and I do this stuff all the time. But this is the first time I have done a deck before. Everything turned out nice and professional looking. I have a bunch of people wanting me to do their cars for them since I do it dirt cheap on my free time. But my main question is, is the 2 HR installation a bit too long? I feel as if it is.. It shouldve only taken me about an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. I dont want to upset people when I do their cars of it taking too long. I like working a bit slower than other people since I like to do it right the first time and not having to waste even more time fixing mess-ups.

What do you guys think about it time wise?

i did the hu in my silverado in 10 minutes. Thats because i knew what i needed , had all the tools with me and i had the dash apart before so i knew what to expect. i think 2 hours is a little long for an hu but its fine, your still learning

I did everything by hand, no electric drills. I didn't run new wire. I told her it was an option but she said no. I forgot my Crimps at home (I do Mobile installations) My main problem was just that one damn door. Everything else went smooth. I am putting new wiring in a Impala on Saturday due to wire corrosion of failed factory seals. If I had my drills and everything to complete this job faster I would of been done within an hour or so.
