curiousity about Fi

I'm sure there's a good answer to this but I don't know it.

But everyone seems to love Fi subs. I'm just wondering why they never got into the amp market?

They are a massive company from what I understand and I'd love to have all matching gear.

But all the bigger companies do subs and amps and speakers (DC, Sundown, Skar, CT, Focal, Hertz...) except Fi.

Just had me pondering as to why this could be.

Sundown makes a lot of their drivers but outsource the parts to be made as a hybrid production. Fi machines in the states and doesn't get any of their steel nor coils from china.

They make everything in house or USA and To have an amp made in house is very pricy

So it's just not feasible just like the components went bye bye and the 8" subs too

People don't want to pay 200$ for an 8" sub when they can go get one that looks similar but made in China for half the price

To give to an idea all of the 10k amps 9k amps out their sharing the same board are at cost about 1000$ minimum order of 10.....

No for zed to made an amp like that it cost 14000 In just design fees then each amp would cost 3500 ish and you can sell then for 6000 ish

Now you ask why is the zed more expensive than the Korean board. Easy answer Fi/aa scott thinks like zed, he won't build a cheap spl amp like that the Korean boards, he would build a real amp, now to me a real amp is not like the AB 750.1 I have 7500 rms

A REAL amp is one like the jbl crown 6000 "rms" that has huge compasitors I side and can produce all frequencies and resistances and restively the same power.... Example it does huge power at 1ohm 7k+ and does 8k+ at 2 ohms at a rediclously low thd%. No noise very clean power and huge power!!! My american bass 750.1 does less than 4k at 2 ohms I beleive

Another real amp is the rockford 15k

Both thoes amps can make huge power with little draw because they have so much "battery" (caps) power inside them
