KiKaZz74 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I know its been drilled a million times that xs is probably the best agm out there but I'm looking for some other. I need a g27 agm for my truck. I've looked at XS, X2 (a batteries plus brand), and Remy/deka so far. Is there anything else? The remy is winning price wise now and people seem to like them. My flooded is not even 2 years old and its about half of its capacity. I'm running a 1700w amp and a 600w 6 chan with 4 chans hooked up and very little gain right now since my speakers and tweets can't handle much. But what should I look at? Very small budget it'll happen in the spring most likely. twisted1 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 kinetik, stinger, battcap, blockshakers, optima. i really dont think youd need more batteries with just that hifonics amp. it only clamps around 920ish clean watts when i tested my buddies 09 mustang gt
KiKaZz74 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 I'm trying to go to a aq 2200 or nendo 2000 once I upgrade battery and alt tho. I mean I have 1/0 ran so I should use it and put my sub to work like it should be. So roughly 3kw audio and whatever the vehicle needs off one battery and 240a alt. But is my system reason my battery dies so fast? revoracing247 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 well it is putting more stress then the battery would normally have to handle. so it's probably a contributing factor at least, ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
KiKaZz74 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 true. i hate these companies tho. noone except xs so far lists the freaking group size!!! is it really that hard to put the group size it fits??? Brian617 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Almost all group 27 batteries I see are deep cycle marine/rv batteries. That's a big battery. I've noticed the guys on the forums seem to get deals on XS batteries every once in a while. You may start searching with Google and watching ebay for an XS 2700. Either that or go with a different size that you could fit in the battery tray and strap down with plumber's strap.
KiKaZz74 Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 I forsure want a new battery. I just have some fear of getting used broken gear and then getting screwed over. But ill stay the g27 since its packed tight in there as is and I'm sure my system needs it. KiKaZz74 Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 I'm thinking the deka at this point unless sonic has a sale and I can snatch a shuriken or stinger for less. But at 2800w roughly I think a new alt is gonna be needed.
