ham4864 Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 i have been looking and doing some research on a few used 4x4 been looking at Chevy blazers/Gmc Jimmies and Jeep Cherokees But i don't know if a want a V6 or a Inline 6 I do know that i want to lift it about 4"to 6" for some 31"or 32" tires 2009 bmw 5 series Head Unit Stock Amplifier-JL Audio JX 360/4 Processor- Audiocontrol LC6
Evan_P Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 A Jeep with a 4.0 strait six is supposed to be a reliable combo. Plus, if you plan to lift it there is no other brand that is supported in the aftermarket for off-road applications as much as Jeep's are.

jandsaudio Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I had a 87 Cherokee with the inline 6, and let me say that thing took a legit beating lol When It finally came time to sell it, it had 298k on it. Thing was all stock and I ended up getting $800 bucks out of it. I'm actually getting ready to trade my 99 ram sport in for a 99 Cherokee that's lifted 6 inches on 33's. Good luck on finding one man, they're a beast in the woods.

They did away with it because they could not make money on engine parts because they never break down. A lot of after market lift kits and other toys to add to them. The Cherokees in the 90's have issues with the heater blend door. So no heat in winter. They is a Company on Ebay that has blend door repair kits. You will have to fix 4 wheel drive in front before motor goes. Don't quote me 100% on that but I believe that's the correct year.
