exxxtrem
So I prob did 100 hrs of research before I decided the best cheap sub is.. Hifonics hfx12d4 35$ (black sub chome hf) Now if this build goes correct I will want to swap the hfx for a good high excursion 12 thats CHEAP but good. Keep in mind cheap. Searching ebay seems like next step up is lanzar. (had 4 15s in a cavalier wagon 18 years ago and they pounded) prob because of the us amp though. So cheapest high excursion sub thats deasent?
MACnonsence6
build your own? I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
LoudBimmer
by cheap, you mean under $100? under $50?
exxxtrem
Im open minded. Just looked at sundowns cheapest sub and saw its 12mm double the hf or even kicker. I love airmovement so thats y I went with 6 of the hf... if there are subs with double the hf excursion 3 would be equal to 6...
Swordlordboy1234
Cheap and good never go together. But you can have the shiniest of the turds for sure. A side note, a box guy should come in here and explain high Xmax vs "normal" on subs. After hearing that explanation I'd like to know what you expect to get out of these high Xmax subs. kirill007
Why do you want a high xmax subwoofer? Planning on running it in a sealed box? Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
