KickerAudio21 Posted March 9, 2008 Author Report Posted March 9, 2008 one more thing... from reading on termpro forum, it seems that winISD does not take port size into account for outter box dimensions. Therefor if i go with the 6.3 cu. ft box and 90 sq. inch of port., my total box size will be about 8.4 cubic feet. Because me 26x3.5x31 inch port takes up about 2.14 cubic inches with 3/4" mdf included. Does this sound right, or should i just go with 6.3 cubic feet with porot included....? andym85 Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 yea...you want your net volume (volume after u subtract sub/port displacement) to be around 6.3cft.... Quote i likes me some audio stuff...
Decaf Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 thanks amatt for stepping in, my homeade spreadsheet is nothing like urs so im glad u can look at this otherwise it would be 4.16cuft which is good for a 15 keep updates coming kicker, sorry it took so long to get the port thing across, uve got alot of guys with experience willing to help! AI James Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 i didnt do any spreadsheet to calculate, i did it off the top of head, but i mapped it out on BassBox Pro 5.1 and 6.0 fine Quote
Decaf Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 i thought amatt85 used his own program to design boxes (the one used in his thread), not bassbox or winisd hmm, yeah i just made one that has all of the formulas i could ever need and i just enter the variable, i actually started the idea on my graphing calculator in high school when i was bored in math class... lol Quote
