Bridging amps?

Doing 2 15's and want to strap 2 amps (so 4 amps total) on each 15. Do I need 2 sets of rca's from my head unit (one set for each set of bridged amps)? How hard would it be to gain match them (I'm guessing very difficult to be perfect)? Do I also need 2 sets of bass knobs, one for each set of amps? What's the difference, if any, by doing bridged or parrallel? I've had a set (2) of audiopipe 1500's strapped before but had a friend hook them up for me. I've youtubed how to do it but still not 100% confident at the moment so any more advice on it would help thanks

I suggest selling what you have for either 1 or 2 bigger amps. For me, I like as simple as possible. The more equipment you have, the better the chance of something going wrong. If done right, bridging can be fine, but I just don't suggest it.

All of that depends on the amp. Each amp manufacturer and model may be different.

If it is the AP amps, I suggest using larger amps.

These days, there is no need to strap 2 1500W amps when you can just use a 3000W amp and run more reliable and keep the install and setup more simple.

For most brand amps,

You would have one set of RCAs from the deck, especially since head units have 1 set of subwoofer outputs. and you can either split with Y connectors. Or you can use the RCA output of one amp into the next.

Some amps have a Master/Slave feature to daisy chain the signal. If Master/Slave is available, you would use 1 bass knob and set gains on the Master amp.

If no Slave/Master, you would set each gain carefully with a voltage meter And do not use bass knobs unless it is a universal knob through the RCA.

Also, I might add, if you are not too keen on installation and tuning techniques, strapping will be dangerous for you. I suggest to run 1 larger amp, or keep the separate amps non strapped.

Dam $900 what amps you looking at? Just get something like a SQ2200 for $400 new and used for less. One of those will destroy two of those Audipoops you spoke of.

I got hdc4 15's, and the amps are 2500's (not audiopipes). I know a decent amount of car audio just never done more than a 2 amp setup which is why i was asking. I have an rca bass knob right now but also 2 sets of outputs in my head unit. Can I just hook up both master amps with one set of rca's (with a splitter) or would it be better to just use 2 seperate rca's. I do not have a "low budget" build going on, just seeing what I can get out of these amps right now. Even if I got multiple quality amps (lets just say 4 nendo 3500's) I'd still need to know this info on how to hook them up

You have to look in the manual to see how that model amp is supposed to be strapped.

Some amps have RCA pass through, some of a signal link. Some you would split.

The manuals usually have diagrams to show you the correct way. There are about a dozen different methods out there and without knowing the brand/ model of the amps you are using, no one can give you a good answer.
