DeLuna Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 If you had a woofer that was rated at 800w rms d2 coils, could you wire one 800 watt amp to each coil, or would you have to wire a 400w amp to each coil for a total of 800?

But you would have to make exactly sure both amps are tuned perfectly in sync with a CC-1 and a DD-1, though I've heard people tuning amps together with digital multi meters ? Though I don't know how they could do that. Or get amps that are strapable. Though, it would just make more sense to buy an amp that does like 800-1k at 1 ohm. Unless you like the look of two amps. Make sure it's a 1ohm stable amp. At this power level, it's typically easier to run either a single amp, or a pair of strapped amps. Make sure your video recording all of this and you post here for us to see Just kidding... well not really i would love to see that but besides that.... dont do it.......
