Actually a 3.5k at 1.5 isn't too much. Those JL amps put out the same power regardless of voltage or box rise. You'll get more power out of a pair of 1000.1s then you would a 3.5k at 1.5 ohms

crescendo 3500. 1900 at 2 ohms. perfect for you.

I think that is too much power at 1.5 ohms. Works out to be 14xx per sub

turn the gain down then. much better to turn powerful amps down than to crank smaller amps up.

Buy all of them, and let us know what one sounds better.

Current setup in my 96 Hoe

Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs.

Amps - (4) Crossfire C5 1700D's, MTX Thunder 5604(mids), PPI Art 300.2 (tweets)

Batts - 4 91ah rear batts, 50ah batt up front.

Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's

Alt - Singer 330A

Front stage - Random JL & Eclipse mids, Eclipse tweets

If it were me I'd feel comfortable running a 5k to the pair at 1 ohm. But that's just me
