You have enough room for another set. lol How do they sound in your door pod?Ya it would look very nice wrapped I've really really contemplated adding another set in the pods before building, but Idk if 2 in each sealed would sound as good as you'd think it would. At least that' was my thinking based on what I could find on specs and examples. But they sound good in the pods as is now, not even tuned. I really love the xxx drivers! Malibu Build Log

JNells Posted February 22, 2014 Author Report Posted February 22, 2014 Just ordered my 80PRS unit with all the mounting and necessary accessories. I will be keeping the pioneer in the stock radio location behind the ipad mount. (Still in design phase). I've also recently learned I can receive all my DIC information on my ipad via OBD2 Bluetooth/wifi adapter and dashboard app. Will give me real time engine performance info, as well as all the info I lost when I took out the factory radio. (Mpg, miles to empty, oil, etc). Will be doing more updates once I get all my goodies in the mail Malibu Build Log

JNells Posted February 24, 2014 Author Report Posted February 24, 2014 Started my ipad dock/mount in my center dash panel. General concept of the dock. Lighting cable will be epoxy'd into place for charging and to connect too headunit on aux if I choose. This will all be Fiberglassed into the panel leaving the hvac controls in factory location still accessible. I did have to mod a couple of the vents above where the ipad will be, but only a small mod/loss. This and the inner part of the top dock plate will be covered/wrapped in a felt/suede material as well. Malibu Build Log
