Krakin
I wouldn't let the subs hit the back of a seat. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. I use to shove a book and one of those windsheild sun blocker things when I had my old shitty box. My nice box, leaned the seal all the way back and it didn't rub at all... I think it was 5 inches at the top and 8 at the bottom... Rubbed the middle fold down though, when it was up. But I NEVER took 2 people in my truck, 3 total. Only rare occasions. Joe X
Anybody hav any ideas i dont have much more room to work with. Is it ok for the subs to hit the back of the seat or should i build a guard to hold the seat fabric out of the way? You can get these from various places, this grill style is optimal for subs.
