scooter99
I've got a quick box question for you Ray. I'm doing a single 10" mid bass up front in a center console box. Sealed enclosure. I was originally going to do 2 8's but it was too much of a squeeze to get em in. Anyway, I'm trying to make this functional as a seat as well as an enclosure, and the current seat, as you can imagine, has soft rounded edges on the sides and front. What would be the best way to mimic this on the wooden enclosure? Do some half rounds maybe and attach them to the sides and make a top, then glass it over? Maybe then even fill it with glass on the inside as well? Here's the center seat that's being removed and replaced with an enclosure. This is the basic design. It has the 8's in it, but it shows the seat itself, and the top which folds up to a back rest. And this is what it would be, the bottom anyway, with the 10 in it. I'm also planning to put a seat cushion on the top of it, attached with velcro. Maybe the soft edges would come from that, and then do a round over on the enclosure itself to remove the hard edged corners? Thanks for any help! Ray
I have always left all the stock stuff I flip it over, pull out most of the foam, then glass down into it, add a sub baffle and be done. If you are going to do all wood then just wrap in 2" close cell foam afterwards 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz

Kenyel Dotts
Ray, I am going to follow your recommendation and make RCAs from the pre Bose amplifer wires in my 2008 Infiniti M45. But I cannot, for the life of me, find any resources on the 2008 Infiniti M series car with the 14 speaker system. I don't know what color wires go to what speakers. I want to avoid doing it the hard way and cutting them all and testing them individually because I am just working on my low end now, mids and highs will be done in a few months. Thanks for your help. Go to your car dealer and ask for the wiring on this car. Dont cut the factory wire home depo has conecters that tap in to the oem wiring and you can attc a aux wire for sound. I have used a lc2i by audio control and i have had no isue from this high low product. They give up to 8v of out put, bass volume control, can take up to 200w in and has a bass control that gives you bass if you dont have sub out put. check it out King dingalingIts not finished till i say so Bit@^! Kyblack76
Ray, I still believe im not on the correct path on getting a proper signal from my OEM HU, i found and sent these to the pad: Now,.. they say to of course use the + for each channel,... BUT, to put the - to the chassis of the unit being used.......... Do you think (worried about getting a signal at all, and or one that is true 20-20k) i should follow the directions? Or just tap +/+ & -/- for the 4 OEM channels, BEFORE the stock amp. Im sure we have talked on this,.. but,.. here is the OEM prints i was able to have a ACURA tech pull for me....... I was at first tapped AFTER the stock amp.... WIth a .2 DSP..... I just dont know about the SUMMING that it does... maybe its just me,.... then, i bought a low budget after market HU, just to see what or if im loosing.....I dont feel like using it "picked up" the lows, but, it did sound alot differnet..... i can elaberate if you need.. (i feel like you know what im saying..) when you can... please advise...... Hey bro,.. hope you did well with the testing and such you had going on.... later.. EDIT - West, sorry bro,... i thought i added the link to these.. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.aspx?itemid=117628 There is a product INFO deal on that page,....
