cjvue
Im thinking my truck would rape a headrest metering. I'd like to see it happen! It's all install dependant.... But like what others have stated, generally headrest = lower frequency (MECA) & dash/sealed = higher frequency (dbdrag). cjvue
Headrest would be about 8 inches in front of the port You'll be surprise.... my 4th order wall port is about the same distance to the meter (port on driver side) and not much of difference in score vs sealed at the dash, just frequency. Kyblack76
I had no damn clue on my first DB and Bass Race runs. Like a tard, on my first ever Race run, i chose a song that peaked at 31, and did a drag burp 4 clicks from clean, at 32hz ..lol. Live and learn . Still took first place in both SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Swordlordboy1234
I wish I knew more about this stuff. Last comp I was told to burp 47hz after I did my sweep. That box sounded loudest at 37hz. This box sounds loudest at 33hz... So I wonder if my peak lowered. This box sounds loudest at 33hz... So I wonder if my peak lowered. That's the annoying thing. Loud to the meter and loud to the ear don't always agree. I doubt you're going to want to burp at 33hz, but then again what do I know ??
cjvue
Put it on the meter is the only way to find out. A 150db @ 33hz is completely different vs 150@ 47hz. If you judge by ear, 33hz will sound twice as loud as 47hz. miniSPLlancer
I compete in Meca and have for a couple years now. with all things being the same, 39-47hz is the sweet spot for Meca, seems to be what the meter likes at that position. I burp at 53hz in Meca and do a 150.4 (unofficially) and a 149.4 last season was my highest score. In IASCA, sealed on the dash I was .4-1 db louder, due to higher tuning. I consider under 30hz burping to be tuned low for Meca. Most of the competitors that have walls put the port on the driver side and meter at the driver headrest with passenger door open. 2011 Mitsubishi OutlanderSony 712 Soundqubed HDS208 Alpine MRV-M500 Transmission line enclosure Soundqubed wiring Knu rca XS Power battery CNF terminals
