Yes it is a 2RZ 2.4 The only thing I have done is an LCE header and K&N filter. Nothing will be done to the engine for about 9 years when I retire. I need it to commute in. oldsoundguy
Ok started the last coat of filler on the doors. Is this smooth enough for a bondo application??? LOL Now the sanding will be done by hand and block. I did put the first coats on the speaker rings. I will get them smooth then install them to the door. Then I can run some around the bottom of the rings and make a nice little curve finish to the door. Then primer and paint YEA!! Oh and I had planned on testing a piece of MDF with the color I want then with a clear coat on it. I just want to see what it will look like with clear. The rear of the door will get a few coats of clear just to seal it off from moisture. Oh and look what showed up today.. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

oldsoundguy
Lots and lots of sanding later the door panels are in primer. The speaker rings are in final stage of filler before primer. So I was down there waiting for bondo to dry and sanding staring at the door panels. What I have decided to do is wrap the door panel in some tan vinyl. Then paint the speaker rings with the paint from the sub box for contrast. I have the confidence that I can wrap the door panels. I cant wait to see how they turn out. I will attach the speaker rings with bolts through the speaker rings into the door panel. I will do a counter sink bolt front and rear so I can remove them later if I decide to change something in the future. It will be very secure and look bad ass with no exposed fasteners. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

oldsoundguy
day off from door work. To tired today. I did buy more 100 grit paper, the same paint I used on the sub box and some clear. I will do the speaker rings in that color but want to see what it looks like cleared. I will maybe do a test spot later. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
oldsoundguy
Continuing working on the door panels. I have come to the conclusion that I love body filler. Well Evercoat Rage. I like the process of sanding, fill, sand a little more, fill slight imperfections, sand, primer, fix little imperfections, sand and paint. Its very relaxing to me to sit out in the garage with a beer and music to just sand and make things look great. This is after final sand before primer. I went 100, 150, 220 then primer. Shot of the center. After primer 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
