Just curious, why do you recommend the rear battery be the same brand as front battery. I have a Duralast Platinum under my hood and 4 North State group31s in the rear.

It needs to be the same chemistry. Dont mix AGM with wet cell, they have different float charges and discharge/recharge rates which will cause parasitic draw on the more qualified battery and most likely shorten its life. And depending on the quality of AGMs, some float higher than others. Why drag down a really nice battery with a half assed one even if both are AGM?

Ok. I've had these in for about a year and a half now and I haven't noticed a difference in charging and voltage. At least not yet anyways. Thanks for the advice

brand doesnt really matter. its the type of batteries you have to worry about.. you can have a deka under the hood and a xs power in the rear
