hazestorm23 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 I used to have the stax 5500 that had dual power and ground inputs it was rated at 3200 at 1 ohm I believe maybe less but I'd didn't sound too bad and to me it was the only amp I saw that they put a bit more effort in it to make it better I have yet to see another pa amp with dual power inputs I'll say it put out maybe a good 1500 watts and for the price that ain't so bad

The only problem I see with the upgrade is your electrical. You will need a high output alt for 2 of those 2200's and I would say 2 more batts. alaskanzx5 Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Stay away from any Ebay high output ALTs really. Mechman and singer are the cheaper choices. DC can be spendy t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
