alenv10
Haven't been on here in a very long time, got out of car audio a bit because i got rid of the suv and got a charger, but will be doing a sexy build for everyone here! Good start to it today, not huge but getting me back into the game System will consist of : (1) SoundQubed HDS312 D2 wired @ 1ohm load (4) SoundQubed QC-HF6.5 Speakers (4) SoundQubed QT-CD25 Tweeters (1) soundqubed Q1-1200D (1) soundqubed Q4-120 (1) Car Kit of Q-Mat sound deadener *40 sq. Feet* Sky High Car Audio Wires Pioneer Double Din (future) So the idea i have is to run a single 10 inch obsidian audio v3 in a ported, fiberglass front face at @1.15 cubic feet, tuned at 34htz Take out the spare tire and build a false floor, with an amp rack in the spare tire location, but plexi glass over the tops of the amps, to show display the sexy beasts. reason for matching amps sub will be in back of the trunk right in center, red painted face with gold pinstripe to match the OA sub Here is what i started today, need to start ordering next week! Give advice for amps! Took out the stock today and installed the kenwood for now had to run a separate 12 volt wire end result painted the red gauge rings and knobs so the matching red single din looks dope Here is the before, what i love about kenwood is the rear usb line! JNells
Nice ride! Tuned in to your build. As for suggestions, I think you're on the right track with soundqubed. I would even suggest looking into the hds3 10' for sub. Same price as obsidian but twice the power. (Bigger enclosure space tho). aq1200.1 amp. And that way you could stick to same brand amp/sub and still being somewhat budget friendly. Im going to go with crescendo FT1 supertweets. Specs/reviews/word of mouth all seem really good, as well as not killing the bankroll in the process. Just my opinions, either way tuned in, good luck! I found some Re Audio USX amps that would match and be a perfect fit! I dont want to much power, its just a trunk system, hate rattle haha NOTHING DOWN HERE YET OBSIDIAN FTW
JNells
Right on, I hear ya. Are you going to deaden at all? RE makes some quality amps, I don't know about the usx line, but I have the ctx1000.4 and have no complaints. Malibu Build Log

boom50cal
CT sounds 900.1 and 125.4. Those are my recommendations Tuned in for a slick trunk build! alenv10
Just figured out what i will be running for amps. Obsidian Audio v3 D4 10 wired @ 2ohm load SQ Q1-1200D rated 870 @ 2 ohm load Crescendo Audio pwx 6.5's running on SQ Q4-120 120 @ 4 ohm load x 4 170 @ 2 ohm load x 4 4 ohm mono power @ 14V 340Wx2 so should i run (4) 8 ohm pwx's since they are svc 8ohm i will be able to wire to 4 ohm load bridged correct? giving me about 170 per pwx OR (4) 4ohm pwx at 4ohm load each into each separate channel giving me 120 per pwx both would work fine right?
