Luckily, I had a fire extinguisher in my car and put out the fire in the engine compartment. When I went to go recharge the fire extinguisher, I had no idea how expensive it was. I had a Costco five pound extinguisher and no company around me would refill it. They all recommended the "professional" extinguishers made by Amerex which they would refill. So if you guys are looking to buy an extinguisher, buy one at least five pounds and go to a specialist and buy the extinguishers that were meant to be refilled. You can tell the difference in quality and they will recharge those ones for roughly $25. Steep, I know. BTW a five pound extinguisher is around $50, cheaper than having a car up in flames.

I'm so sorry that happened to you man.. if that was my car, I would be in the fetal position and completely destroyed losing all that hard earned time and money that I put into that vehicle... I picked up new Mustang with 30k miles. Probably upgrade to some hertz comps to replace the shaker 1000 09 mustang gt
