Miguels Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 i had a kinetik 1800 600 and stock group 48 batt on 1 t1500cp and dropped down to the 11s still with ofc 0 gauge wire all around and big3 0 gauge ofc all cars are different. I think kinetik sucks though the d3100 may be able to do it i own both XS batteries and kinetik and they are both good.. my brother has 2 hc 2000 and drops to only 13.6 with alt charging 13.9 to 14.0 with a DC alt.. when he was clipping it was dropping to 11 v so its safe to say you was clipping.. me with my mechman alt and the adjustable voltage wouldnt see below 14.4 on my kinetiks you was clipping or your stock group 48 was the reason why you was dropping bad my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

I also didnt have the best ground. and my alt was tiny.

At 14.4th according ti the math from that video it would take roughly 400 amps in which i'm sure a single d3100 plus the 250 amp alt would do the trick. Also I know you said you had a dealer close but Mechman offers a 5% discount over the phone with free shipping in the lower 48. If that helps Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
