Ozim Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 This better be worth it cause they aren't cheap. Its worth about same as two sheets of 1" mdf where I live. I've used regular pvc port and ported in the past 12 years. The aeroport better be good. They will arrive next late week. I will post how it turn out. No meter, just ear-o-meter. afrakes Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 They are the best aero ports IMHO. Where's u buy it? Parts express I assume? Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
ChevyBoy95 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 honestly, i loved mine. You can run a tad lower port area and still perform wonderfully. I had 2 XL m1 15's in 7 cubes with 2 6in aeros like your talking about and it was honestly my favorite setup to date. you can see them in the bottom right side firing. RidingTooLow Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 The flared intake of the aero prt should be worth it by itself. The smoother airflow than PVC. It's only $50 dude.

It's only $50 dude. they are like 38 a pop plus shipping. so try like 80-90. edit: and with aeros that are flared, they are way more efficient than slotted ports, therefore you can use a lot less port area without loosing output. RidingTooLow Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 @ChevyBoy95-Sorry I meant it's only $80-$90. That's not shit unless your 14 and jobless. Why spend $20 on crap ass PVC and have a ghetto system to show people? Lol OP I would say what ever you spent it will be worth it.
Ozim Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Those 6" aeroports are so massive, had to add a layer to mount subs. I recalculate woofers and aeroports displacement, turn out that my 2 dc15xl is 3.6cuft per sub, 7.2cuft after displacements. It will be install in my crx very soon. It looks loud. Pics coming up soon. '91 Honda crx - TOTALLED 200amps rebuilt Iraggi alt 2 d3100 Mojo [email protected] 2 15's DC XLm1 in 7.2cubes, 2 6" aeroports tuned to 32hz

alaskanzx5 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 lol, at the pvc is ghetto comment. you can flare pvc for one and it can be painted. take your time and it will look just as good, plus cheaper so for the same money you can have several ports for different tuning freq. biggest benefit of pvc is how versatile and easy to restart with. im sure the aero ports from parts exp will be better then pvc just because of the testing that went into the design of them where as flaring pvc would take several rebuilds of the port to get the flare just right. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
