Impala-Chasing a 50 on the TL-Build log (Rockford Fosgate,Soundqubed,Alpine,Sundown)

Recommended Posts

This is my seventh gen impala i'm building. I'm not all the way serious about the 150db thing, as it would take alot of fun out of it, making compromises. It would be sweet though.

Blew the type S 15's you see, many many pictures yet to be added.

Equipment:

Soundqubed-3500D.1

Rockford Fosgate Punch 500.4

Alpine type S 6.5 & 6x9

Knuconcepz 0 and 4 gauge, distribution blocks and krystal RCA's

Pioneer-DEH X8600BH

150 from the trunk of that car won't be easy. My boy David went through a lot and was still in the 48-49 range. Granted, he was tuned low. The link for motivation LOL:

Sealed trunks can still use their back seats. It's all in how you build the box and seal it off from the trunk. Look at sealed trunk build fir ideas

Box Design credit to: Bassink

What do you guys think?

Some fiberglass, the recommended bracing, and a double layer baffle facing the seats?

6 cubes tuned to 31hz with 93in2 of port area.
