Cj Kumz Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Hey guys. What's the best frequency to tune a box to in a saloon car to avoid to much rattling but still maintain the deep bass?? Vw Polo Pioneer Deh-6050UB Sundown Saz-3500d DD Audio 9500 15'' 5.5 cubic feet box with 10 inch port @ 38hz I live to hear the Bass drop!!!
Skullz Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Dunno, never tuned a saloon. I'll take one Bourbon, one Scotch, one Beer though. lol 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Ahmed Johnson Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 I mean that depends totally on your preference in music and the subs you rock. Anywhere between 32hz and 38hz and you're good, IMO. A saloon car is like an altima I think.
Skullz Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Was just kidding about the previous post. Tuning is a personal preference and varies from person to person, i would tune closer to the cars RF point personally but you may want to go lower or higher depending on your goals. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Cj Kumz Posted January 7, 2014 Author Report Posted January 7, 2014 Ahmed and AJ11 Thanks a lot. Cause I think too low might just make too much rattle and its so annoying on the outside... I know this is off question but is that pain we get on our eardrums from low or high frequencys?? Vw Polo Pioneer Deh-6050UB Sundown Saz-3500d DD Audio 9500 15'' 5.5 cubic feet box with 10 inch port @ 38hz I live to hear the Bass drop!!!
Aj11 Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 higher usually, depends on the amount of power! 20hz can really hut at 130+ dbs but most of that pain your talking about comes from 50hz or so jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
