could somone please explain the difference bewtween cca and ofc wire?

i was recently chatting with somone on here that has been helping me out alot and they told me i needed to order some 1/0 awg wire preferably cca and i was just wondering the difference so i could have some knowledge on it

Cc a is copper clad aluminum

ofc is oxygen free copper

head to head of is better. Handles.more current. Etc

I will not get Into the cca vs of debate especially without any background on your setup or plans. I personally will not recommend cca as I feel this is not a cheap hobby and does not always benefit you by using cca because it's cheaper

One is oxygen free copper and the other is copper clad aluminum. What this means is one wire is pure copper and the other is aluminum wire plated with copper. My preference is to use ofc others choose to run cca mostly because of price difference.
