775Tundra
Late 90s tahoe. Let the gas saver be your foot. Yes they are reliable if maintained. I used to own pure toyotas and since I bought my 2003 tahoe I believe I have converted to chevy. They are solid vehicles. My wife's grandfather rebuilt a totaled 98 Yukon with new motor and transmission he spent less than 8k and it looks nice. Long story short he had driven it to Mexico and back 2 times. Total of about 2k miles round trip each time. 2003 Tahoe dc 7.5k dc level 5 15's (3) MMats 341's xs power batts lots of sky high cable dual alts(came off the sky-high gmc and don't know who made them) ipad in center console vu-din in center console all being ripped out and being sold

Ahmed Johnson
As long as your rpm's aren't going past 2000 every time you drive and jam the gas you won't burn your gas as fast.
Ahmed Johnson
Me personally, I dont like fords from the 90's. The f-150's were good.

bcpballer64
Ya our laye 90s expedition sucks. Could easily get a blazer in that price range. I had a c pillar wall in one. Seating for 5 plenty of room behind wall for batts amd amps or cargo (not sure what kind of power you run). Tahoe would be nice if you can find a good deal on one. 79 cutty
I don't want to sound as though I am judging, but if money is so tight, why not just spend extra money to get a large enough vehicle for your family needs and not worry about how big a system you can fit into it? Sometimes being responsible sucks.....but that is why they call it responsibilities. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it. Leo1103
Honda crv are cheap and get great gas....... Or a toyota rav4........ The only problem is an alternator.......... If you have to have a Chevy or ford.......maybe a trailblazer, but they don't get great gas mileage either only 15 mpg at best Either go big and get a Tahoe or get the Honda/Toyota.......but with those the alts are more expensive 02 crv here, 17.8 mpg lol. 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding...
