Krakin
But 33hz gets the bitches? Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. bbeljefe
But 33hz gets the bitches? Uh... NO. 34Hz gets the bitchez. I like to call it "Rule 34". Krakin
You obviously have not been enlightened by the findings of the scientific test that drew the conclusion of 33hz? bbeljefe
Look man, my friend knows a guy who's cousin has a brother in law who works with a dude who's uncle has two squares on like 2000 watts in a 34Hz box and he had to get a divorce because every time he played Munchies for My Bass and blew out his windshield the bitches would take turns blowing him for like two hours. Rule 34. I have spoken. Facebook: facebook.com/audioanarchyllc Instagram: audioanarchyllc Youtube: youtube.com/bbeljefe
Krakin
Insert smart discussion topic on ports here: _____, as to get thread back on track. lol For the heck of it, a limitation on the length of the tunnel (inside of the port) is that it must not exceed 1/12th of a wavelength at the resonant frequency of the enclosure, otherwise the contained air would not behave purely as a mass Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? Dwn4BassAlan
You obviously have not been enlightened by the findings of the scientific test that drew the conclusion of 33hz? lol I shall post the homage paying video. watch up to 1:25 to understand why 30Hz is clearly the best, including the rock-hard scientific backing it has. And then: For the ho's 1:54 - 2:45 of this video Biomedical/Behavioral Science Major, The (Self-Proclaimed) Undisputed-Homemade-Woofer-King Super-Neodymium-Woofer Build Log: The D4BA-V.2 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169236-diy-super-neodymium-woofer-build-log/?p=2475620 Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol When Alan uses big words I don't understand It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room. I missed Alan. RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son. Krakin
That didn't last long till Mr. ADHD showed up again. Dwn4BassAlan
But I feel bad for thread-jack and re-railment of new guy's thread (who is obviously more than qualified compared to many). So I'll add in my actual scientific (for real) input. This might sound silly, but sometimes I like to think of it in terms of those air blasting plastic cannons, where you pull the string back and it pulls the plastic, then you let it go and it makes a very sizeable sound wave via a large blast of air. We did a lot of testing with it in my AP physics senior year and how to change the affect of the sound wave coming out of it, because the way the plastic tube was built it had huge step downs with 90 deg angles until it reached the hole, he had us modify it a few ways but we got the most improvement in creating a bigger "blast" if you will, by elimination the 90 traps with full slant wedges and increasing the port length a slight bit and rounding flaring off the edge just a very tiny bit. I know this is different in the sense that no air is trying to force it's way in unlike a woofer enclosure, but the idea is relevant when thinking of the inside portion cone pushing into the box and forcing the air out. Now I would switch it to the thought of a straw; picture 2 straws, both of the same volumetric capacity of air, but one is very thin and much longer, while one has a fairly wider diameter and is considerably shorter, which straw would be able to move more air as quick? So I'm as interested in how the port shape affects it too. Dwn4BassAlan
That didn't last long till Mr. ADHD showed up again. in fairness I had my reply started before your post so I didn;t see it. And boombopbadabingpow I did say something sciency above even though I'm intoxicated I felt inclined to do so after throughouly screwing with his thread. So Mr.ADHD says "FU to all the hates and I'll steal your ho's and screw your (female) cousins" Biomedical/Behavioral Science Major, The (Self-Proclaimed) Undisputed-Homemade-Woofer-King Super-Neodymium-Woofer Build Log: The D4BA-V.2 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169236-diy-super-neodymium-woofer-build-log/?p=2475620 Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol When Alan uses big words I don't understand It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.
