TaylorFade
Tantric sounds had issues with their leads to on the shd https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=573626125991525&set=a.437596699594469.95707.296028627084611&type=1&relevant_count=1 I can't see that from work, but most of the tinsel issues the SHD had was from people stuffing 100A of current though them. Lol. I actually burned up 8awg speaker wire and the tinsels weren't even touched. So yeah... the SHD tinsels are fine.
TeamHT
Issues with leads ABOVE rms is very different than subs going up in fire due to tinsel failure if the amp is the culprit. I only know one person I trust who knows his stuff had an SP4 go up in flames, and I would be interested to see what could be learned here. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? TeamHT
And I feel like you're bringing up Tantric simply because TFade has weighed in, which is bullshit, lol. He's not attacking FI, and even goes so far as to lend weight to Nick's claim. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
iwannabeloud
I know Tfade isn't attacking FI, I just remembered about Tantric when he replied. Tfade is the man. STEvil
if high frequency noise is the issue, why dont you guys just slide your speaker cables through a ferrite choke? They come in tons of sizes and styles... MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
