My friend bought a AB 500.1 a month ago from someone and 2 days it was working fine all day and then yesterday it just went into protect and won't come out. He tried disconnecting the amp and such and still won't. He opened it up and didn't see anything to be wrong, he said a cap seemed a bit loose.

He is running at .5ohm

Voltage holds around 12.8 so not bad and it's not mounted to his box.

Could anyone on here fix it and how would would that cost?

You could try db-r. He is expensive as hell but does the best work around. From here on out he is the only person ill let repair my amps

I was reading some stuff on car audio classifieds earlier today I guess he's been ripping people off as of recently. There's two sides to every story. Idk

Current system:Front stage: Alpine type s 6.5No rear:Alpine type s 6.5headunit: alpineAmp: Jbl bp600.1

Sub: Alpine type x 12

dont know much about them. Found a "FLUX" Capacitor on ebay. If I add this to my system, can I really travel into the future? And how far into the future? That probably all depends on how I ground it though, right?

Dude dont even waste your money on capacitors get a second car battery preferably a kinetik or stinger or any other car audio battery use the battery that is correct for your systems true rms wattage do some research on the net for this. Go to kinetiks website they explain how to pick a battery from thier site that fits your system.

Theres always 2 sides but most people hear 1 side and just go with it ya know. But damn a blown amp for a good amp that still puzzles me why someone would do this.
