hammiethebasshead Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 this looks awesome. I say go for a second one if it isn't too expensive once you get a speaker moving so hard that its possible to make tinsels slap, you are already kissing "SQ" goodbye. Don't get me wrong, as I smoke Marlboro Reds, but if I saw one more kid with that smug-ass look (Look at me I'm smoking indoors) on their face, I was going to shove that thing so far up someone's ass that they'd look like a hillbilly trying to understand quantitative prediction theorem. You know why people are ass holes online but not in person? Because getting punched in the mouth hurts.
ROLEXrifleman Posted February 13, 2014 Author Report Posted February 13, 2014 Where the test video already lol. Clamp somethin dammit lol. LOL, its my long week at work, so testing might not get done for a few days. did you see this though: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/182752-1st-round-of-clamping-to-begin-amps-have-been-chosen/ this looks awesome. I say go for a second one if it isn't too expensive If you dont factor in time I'm at about $115-125 in parts. If I need it i'll build another one but this should be good for now Rolex you sicken me. P4killer_ Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Sweet ass little project. And I don't know why you guys keep saying "clamping" with this project. Fixed resistance. You don't need a current clamp. I meant to quote this the other day. Yea this is true. V^2/R.. Im stupid. Lol you dont even need to clamp current. Thats what you have a resistor for.. duh. Work smarter not harder.. Setup: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000 Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of - DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

Good stuff. Im looking forward to seeing the results. And for the record, even if it for some odd reason doesnt work, its just interesting to read and talk about this kinda stuff. So keep up the good work Setup: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000 Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of - DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s
CJ18 Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 That looks really cool. Always have respect for building something yourself to test with. It really irritates me when people tell me what I should have done and how I should have done it. If they dont like it, they are more than welcome to buy the tools to do their own testing to share with the world. On those grounds, I love what you are doing.
