soundsystemaniac Posted February 19, 2014 Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 So, After seeing my friend Kyle, and my friend Nicks build that are both posted on here, He wanted to see If I could build him a box for his 4 SA 10s in a Ford Explorer. I said sure! Turns out he is local to me and lives about 20 minutes away from the little garage I work out of. So he came by, really friendly dude, and we discussed what could be done and he opted to do a slot port enclosure with a plexi window to view the motors of the subs. This is what I came up with! First i gave him the option without plexi, subs up, port back- Then with plexi, Then decided on a color scheme. Black carpet exterior, and white painted interior So this meeting with him was on monday. Monday evening, I started working on the box from 4pm to 8pm. Got the box all cut, and flush mount baffles cut then i put the box together and painted the inside white: Then I got the plexi mounted. (dont mind my buddy Raul! he snuck in the pic) Then I made a brace (im really happy with the way this came out) All I have left is to go ahead and Wrap the box in black carpet, spray and roundover the ports, and install it! About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
