ChrispyShimp Posted February 20, 2014 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 Personally I prefer 11 ply oak, since it's a heavy hardwood and holds screws far better than MDF. It also looks fantastic with a dark stain coat if you do it right. PITA to sand though. Knowledge is the greatest tool in any garage. It's also the most priceless, and most easily shared. sharkshit55 Posted February 20, 2014 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 I work at home depot n its crazy hearing all the complaints about the crap we sell. i work in special services which is where you to order and and set up installs. i guess when i build my box i will first check the local lumber yard. and it shocked my to find out home depot only carried 3/4 mdf. in fact the store i work at doen't cayy ny sheets fatter than 3/4 Looking to buy hdc3 and sq2200 bundle. let me know Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
