GOOD Birch Plywood is usully more expensive than mdf and maybe a bit lighter. It's less messy to cut but It's harder to sand and paint. It is also a bit stonger than mdf. MDF is heavy, inexpensive, messy to cut, easy to sand and paint. It works. It really comes down to cost IMO. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
