sbg Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 I got a box right now for my hdc312s that is a temp box. Tuning way to high and a bit small. 4cuft. Tuned to 42hz . 87" port area and 22" port per foot. Just a box I got from a friend to get me by until I build new. I see some people doing port plugs, to lower tuning. I think I could use this to help me out. Was thinking of inverting my subs and doing a plug to lower my tuning to 35hz. I have never done this before and not even sure it works? I have a port deflecter in the back of the box. Do you take the plug all the way back to that? You need your plugs to go all the way to the ends of the port. Just make a big MDF block (stack sheets, don't need to be glued together) that goes from the front to the back of the port. Secure it in place with bolts or something. Oh...
